The Providence Renaissance Hotel is the newest addition to downtown’s fine collection of high-class accommodations. The Providence Renaissance was not a new construction project; instead, Sage Hospitality Resources purchased the remnants of an abandoned Masonic Temple that had remained unfinished for almost a century.

The Masonic Temple was constructed in the Greek Revival style with large marble pillars stretching from street level all the way to the roof. Located on prime real estate in down town Providence, the Providence Renaissance abuts the Rhode Island State House, The Providence Place Mall, and Veterans Memorial Auditorium.

The Renaissance Providence Hotel opened its doors in June 2007 and quickly became an icon of the ‘renaissance’, which Providence, RI has undergone for the past 15 years.
